It is important to understand that during data preparation the CSI AA will 'import/read' all relevant data according to your selection criteria from the attached download database. The attached database will not be changed by this action!
These selection criteria are to be set in sections 1 to 7. By default:
In the following paragraphs we will discuss these selection criteria mode in depth, using the number of the section as title-number for your convenience.
Note: For this topic (Normal mode) we will discuss the various selection criteria supposing that option 4 (Normal mode/Expert mode) is set to Normal mode.
Note: At some SAP environments it might be that the 'User Group for Authorization Check'-field (which can be found at the 'Logon data'-tab in the 'Maintain User'-function of SAP system can not be used for indicating the User Group.
Whenever this is the case, you can use the 'User Group'-field on the 'Groups'-tab in the 'Maintain User'-function of your SAP system.
Whenever this 'User Group' field is used, it's first entry will be used and this entry will override the entry in the 'User Group for Authorization Check'.
Whenever you are using this feature, make sure to include the USGRU_USER table in the download you take from your SAP system before attaching and preparing this download database to the CSI Authorization Auditor.
Click on 'Prepare data' when all settings are according to your preferences.
The Inconsistency Reports Section of the Standard Reporting will be displayed after your prepare. We recommend to run these 4 reports to check whether errors might have occurred during the SAP data download process using the CSI Data translator (these errors might be Selection Criteria which have been used during download, or a timeout of the SAP system,...).
There might be a small number of Profiles, Authorizations, Roles missing (when they are not used in your SAP system), but generally these reports should display none or nearly no records.
Finally, you will be prompted with the 'Setting User Preferences - General' panel which will be discussed more elaborately in the Preferences - General topic.
After setting these preferences you can start doing your analyses.
Tip: The selection criteria used in your prepare-settings can be presented by using the Standard Reporting functionality.
In the Standard Reporting screen, select the 'System'-section and use the 'Selection Criteria'-report.
