Preparing data - Expert mode

 

This can be done in the left pane of the Expert mode screen. 

Checking the selection box next to a user will include this user in the audit while a blank selection box will exclude the user.

By default all users are included.

 

Tip: The Select/Deselect buttons will (De)Select all users at once (and can be found as well in the other panes of the Expert Screen). 

 

The filter area not only allows you to restrict the entries listed in the dialog box but can also be used as an aid to select/deselect multiple entries. This means that using the filter area will impact the select/deselect boxes next to the users in the list below the filter area.

Below you can find some examples on how to use the Filter Area in order to facilitate your work.

 

• To deselect all users simply click 'All' in the filter area followed by a single click on the 'Deselect'-button underneath the selection list.
• To select all users with a user-id which ends with a 2, type *2 in the filter area, press enter and click the 'Select'-button underneath the selection list.
• Clicking the 'All'-button will display all selected- and deselected users in order to have a complete overview.

 

Tip: It is also possible to use the filter area when selecting users based on their roles, or when defining roles as userid's.

 

The CSI Authorization Auditor has been equipped with the functionality to in-/exclude users based on their roles. This means that you can select a role (or even a profile) from the drop-down list in the middle pane of the expert mode menu.

After selecting the role/profile simply click the 'Select users' or 'Deselect users'-button in order to in/exclude all users linked to this role or profile. 

 

Note: When selecting multiple profiles or roles, the OR-principle will be leading for this option.
For instance: When selecting Profile 'SAP_NEW_40C', '&_SAP_ALL_3' and Role 'MMATED', all users having Profile 'SAP_NEW_40C' OR Profile '&_SAP_ALL_3' OR role 'MMATED' will be selected.

 

Checking the selection box next to a profile in the right pane will define that role as a userid. 

By default no single role has been selected to be included as a userid.

 

Note: Clicking the 'Select roles based on selected users (right pane)'-button will select all roles which are allocated to users selected in the left pane.

 

When clicking the 'Define profiles as userid's'-button at the top of the Expert mode menu, the 'Profiles to be created as users'-menu will popup.

 

Check the selection boxes for the profiles you want to define as userid's or select profiles according to the filter settings in the filter area.

 

Once you have (de)selected users, roles and/or profiles, expert mode provides you with the functionality to save these current settings in the query database. This allows you to retrieve these settings in order to facilitate your work. 

 

Note: Removing saved settings will result in all users, roles and profiles being deselected.

 

Note: When preparing the CSI AA with a new download: Selected users, roles and profiles, which do not appear in the new download will NOT be selected when retrieving saved settings.
Likewise, new roles which appear in the new download can never be selected when retrieving saved settings.

 

Tip: Whenever you wish to use an existing Query database (which has already been prepared before) on an other computer for example, there is a way to conserve all your Prepare Criteria.
Attach the Query database to the CSI AA on the 'new' computer.
Click the 'Load Previous Prepare Settings'-button at the primary Prepare-screen.
Go into Expert mode and click the 'Retrieve Settings'-button.
Now all your settings should be loaded into the application.
