Data Extraction

Following data can be downloaded:

• Download Data
  This concerns data required to perform the authorization audit
  
• Master Data
  This concerns information with respect to e.g. transaction codes
  
• Object Data
  This concerns information with respect to e.g. authorization objects
  

  Note: when downloading from within CSI AA no conversion of object data is required

  
  

Following download options apply to the different data sets:

Check box	Description
Download	To indicate the data set concerned needs to be downloaded
Optional Tables	Include optional tables with the download
Attach	After download of the selected data sets automatically attach the databases to CSI AA. *Please note: in case data has already been prepared it is not possible to automatically attach download data

 

Additional settings:

Setting	Description
Translation type	Default value: 'RFC'   - RFC: directly download from SAP using RFC - SE16: import download files (created using SE16) - ABAP: import download files (created using CSI ABAP)
Object Data Language	Default value: 'E'   Indicate language to be used for downloading object data
SAP Date Format	Default value 'YMD'   Indicate date format
Separator	Default value <blank>   Indicate date separator used
Empty Dates	Default value '[zeroes]'   Indicate how empty dates are shown in the download
Getting data from	In case Translation type is SE16 or ABAP the directory containing the source files need to be selected

 

In order to start the download click on Run Translation.

These settings are stored in the Extraction User Settings database.

 

Tip: This database can be used across different CSI9AA applications

 

Section	Setting	Description
General	JET Setting	Determine in which MS Access version databases are created (in case multiple MS Access versions are installed)
	RFC Setting	Indicate block size for reading data from SAP. in case '0' is selected all records are retrieved at once.
SE16	SE16 Downloads - Date Format	Indicate date format to be used (e.g. 'DMY'), date separator and how empty dates are shown in the download
	SE16 Downloads	Indicate default file extension for files downloaded using SE16 and (if required) which default folder should be used to import the download files from
ABAP	ABAP Downloads - Date Format	Indicate date format to be used (e.g. 'DMY'), date separator and how empty dates are shown in the download
	ABAP Downloads	Indicate default file extension for files downloaded using CSI ABAP and (if required) which default folder should be used to import the download files from
