Download STAD
CSI Data Xtractor can be used to download STAD data from SAP.
When run from within , STAD data is stored in the archive database.
Note: Before downloading STAD data from SAP, please consider the authorization aspects.
Click the STAD icon
in the main menu to access STAD download functionality.
Quick settings
- Default server: Default SAP connection.
To clear the default server field: select the textbox and the
icon appears in the textbox.
Click the delete icon to clear the textbox.
- SAP release 700 and higher: Connect to SAP system 7.0 or higher.
- Up to SAP release 640: Connect to SAP system version 6.4 or before.
- Custom: select the function module and return table.
- Use SWNC RFC call
- Use SAPWL RFC call
- Use application statistic
- Use user statistics
- Export filename: The STAD data export file name can be changed.
The download of day, week and month periods is stored in this file.
- Always create new export file: Overwrite existing file or create new file.
- Skip if period exists: Skip a period that is already in the download file.
DX detects periods already in the download file and marks the row with
the icon.
- Replace existing period data: Download a period again and overwrite the data in the existing download file.
Other periods that are not checked, but already downloaded are untouched.
New periods are downloaded and added to the download file.
The log (files) indicate what has been done for which download.
Step 1: Get periods.
Click Step 1: Get Periods to show the overview of available STAD periods, read from SAP (using the defined connection settings).
Statistics are grouped by period.
- Statistics per day.
- Statistics per week.
- Statistics per month.
Using the filter options a selection can be made on Host, Type and Period.
Select the statistics that need to be downloaded from SAP.
Step 2: Download STAD
Click on the Step 2: Download STAD button to start downloading STAD data from SAP.
Warning: In case the selected statistics already exist in the target database, an error is shown and the export will be cancelled.
Note: In case error message "Error exporting data 'Periods': Error creating database (ADOX): Class not registered" is shown, then it might be the case that on the Options tab (save method) and incorrect (not implemented) Access version is selected.
