An example of a multi-dimensional SOD would be maintaining a purchase order AND releasing a purchase order AND receiving goods.
Having all three tasks would be a SOD conflict.
The appropriate template in this case would be Qa AND Qb AND Qc.
Note: There are several AND/OR combinations possible, CSI can add templates specific to your company. Contact our helpdesk when you need a special template.
1: When the include is checked this SOD will be in the SOD run. In older version the ‘include’ was based on the reason code. Now you can specify specific queries not to run.
2: In order to create a new SOD conflict you need to define a unique code for this conflict.
Note: Develop a naming convention that works well for your company.
3: Type in description of the SOD.
4: Choose an appropriate SOD template.
5: Comment screen: SOD rules can have comments. You can use this to identify specific users that should have this SOD conflict. The conflict is unique to the SOD.
6: Use the drop down to select the queries that are in conflict.
7: Inconsistencies button. This button will generate a report which indicates all inconsistencies existing in the SoD definition list.
There are 4 types of inconsistencies which can exist/be reported:
