Why doesn't the CSI application function as expected in MS Access 2002 (XP) ?

In case your CSI application does not function sufficiently in MS Access 2002 (XP), please install MS Office XP Service Pack 3. Please refer to Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 843189 for more information.

In order to install the Office XP Service Pack 3, please proceed as follows:

  • Make sure you have administrative rights before proceeding

  • Close all applications

  • Click on the Start button and go to Windows Update or if you don’t have “Windows Update” in your start menu go to http://office.microsoft.com/officeupdate

  • Click on the “Check for Updates”-link in the Office Update region

  • You will get a percentage bar and a message saying, “Please wait. Checking for Office updates you need...”

  • After a while you will get the list of Office update you could perform

  • Make sure only the Office XP Service Pack 3 update is checked

  • Click on the “Start Installation button and follow further instructions from Microsoft

After this update you will see a lot of error messages won’t show up again.
